Welcome to Your Healing Journey

Embrace Your True Self

The Healing Place LLC was born from a simple, powerful truth:
Healing is resistance.

Here, Latines are invited to reconnect with their stories — honoring the complexity within them: the strength they inherited, the resilience they built, and the dreams they continue to shape.

Healing begins by examining the beliefs we once carried, bringing compassion to the parts of ourselves shaped by survival and adaptation, and stepping into a becoming of your authentic self
even if the path has been hidden or hard to see.

We remember that simply being — fully, proudly, imperfectly — is a profound act of healing. Living authentically becomes an offering of love to ourselves and to those who dreamed us into being.

A Safe Space for Healing
In our work together, you will find a safe and supportive space to liberate yourself from the burdens that weigh you down. Here, you are free to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment — free to reclaim the voice that may have been silenced, and to envision a life shaped fully and unapologetically by your own values and dreams.

Healing is honored at The Healing Place LLC, where every story matters. Every voice holds wisdom and deserves to be heard with compassion and unwavering respect.

Healing is nurtured with unwavering strength — through deep understanding, dignity, and genuine connection.

Healing is rooted in remembrance, as we honor those who came before us and create space to heal the stories still unfolding within us.

Healing is the courageous work of facing trauma.
We recognize that trauma takes many forms — childhood abuse, family violence, migration and generational wounds, systemic oppression — and that it shapes how we see ourselves and move through the world. Here, trauma is not ignored or minimized; it is acknowledged, held with compassion, and transformed.

Healing here is active, intentional, and grounded in the belief that even in the aftermath of deep wounds, dignity and resilience can be reclaimed.

FIND SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT

Healing is not a solitary journey.

It is a path built through connection, trust, and shared strength.

Together, we work to uncover the challenges that hold you back, to learn from the experiences that shaped you, and to move forward with resilience and hope.

Real growth begins with a single step.

At The Healing Place LLC, we’ll walk that journey with you — one courageous step at a time.

Liberation is the dignity of surviving — and choosing to live fully.

Every story of trauma holds the possibility of dignity restored.

Peace Through Dignity

I created The Healing Place LLC because I believe dignity is the foundation of healing. Peace does not come from avoidance or silence. It comes from facing the realities of our lives with courage and respect. When we live in dignity, we honor our stories, affirm our identities, and allow our cultural wisdom to guide us. When we choose dignity we return to ourselves with honesty and compassion. From that place, true transformation becomes possible. Our work seeks to restore peace not as the absence of conflict, but as the presence of dignity: the ability to stand in our truth, to be seen fully, and to live with integrity in community.

Peace Through Dignity was born during a time when I felt overwhelmed by the cruelty in the world, the injustices, the violence, the ways our communities were dismissed or dehumanized. I could not change every system or silence every act of harm, but I could create one space where dignity was never negotiable. This practice began as my own healing and my refusal to accept a world without compassion. It is my offering, a place where peace is not something we wait for but something we build together by honoring our stories, our ancestry, and our humanity.

Healing begins when we shed the lies we once believed, when we embrace the complexity of our inheritance, when we offer empathy to all who came before us, and when we remember that our very existence is an act of revolution.

In this space, every wound carries wisdom and every voice carries power. Together, we do more than survive. We rise, we resist, and we build futures illuminated by our own fire.

Healing is our right.
Dignity is non negotiable.
Liberation is inevitable.

Background

My therapeutic work is rooted in Liberation Psychology and Adlerian principles, with a deep commitment to Latine and LGBTQ+ adults navigating trauma, identity, and systemic oppression. I believe healing begins when we understand the stories shaped by our culture, history, and lived experience. In our work together, I hold space for those stories—messy, beautiful, painful—and walk alongside you as you reclaim your voice and dignity.

I also specialize in chemical health, recognizing how substance use often connects to deeper wounds tied to identity, belonging, and survival. I approach recovery as a collaborative, whole-person journey, weaving together evidence-based tools with the unique wisdom you bring.

I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling with a focus on Co-Occurring Disorders and Addiction Counseling from Adler Graduate School in 2018. I’m licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), and approved LPCC Supervisor. My work is guided by ethical integrity, cultural empowerment, and an ongoing commitment to learning and liberation—for myself and for the communities I serve.

About My Practice

I believe therapy should honor the full complexity of who you are—including the ways racism, oppression, gender roles, sexuality, class, and poverty have shaped your life and your sense of self. These forces don’t just exist “out there”—they show up in our bodies, relationships, choices, and inner voice. Sometimes we end up carrying beliefs that were never really ours to begin with.

My practice is a space to unpack those stories. A space to question, to grieve, to rebuild. I work with Latine and LGBTQ+ adults who are tired of trying to fit into systems that were never built for us. Together, we explore the intersections of trauma, identity, and survival—not to pathologize, but to understand, reclaim, and transform.

Our work will draw from your own wisdom and lived experience. I use an integrative approach that blends reflection, skill-building, and culturally grounded practices to support healing. Whether you’re navigating past wounds, exploring your identity, or seeking growth, you don’t have to do it alone. This is a place where you can come as you are and leave a little more whole.

When you’re ready, reach out. Let’s begin the journey toward a life rooted in dignity, healing, and truth.

About Liberation Psychology

Liberation Psychology was born in Latin America through the work of Ignacio Martín-Baró, and it centers the lives and struggles of people affected by systemic injustice. Instead of focusing only on individual symptoms, it asks: What happened to you—and what happened to your people?

This approach recognizes how racism, colonization, poverty, state violence, and gendered oppression shape our mental health. It seeks not just to heal, but to transform. To reconnect people with their voice, dignity, and collective power.

Core Values of Liberation Psychology

  • Critical Awareness (Concientización): Healing begins when we name the systems that harm us and reclaim our truth.
  • Context Matters: Our stories don’t exist in a vacuum—therapy must reflect the cultural and political realities we live in.
  • Empowerment: You are not a passive recipient of help. You are the expert in your own story.
  • Collective Healing: What wounds us is often shared. Our healing can be, too.
  • Social Justice & Human Rights: Dignity, equity, and justice are not optional—they are central to well-being.

Liberation psychology isn’t just a theory—it’s a commitment. In my practice, this means holding space for your truth, your history, and your power to rewrite the narrative.
